Dr. Benjamin Monson
Dr. Benjamin Monson is an ophthalmologist that brings compassion and listening skills to the clinical practice of medicine.
A long time Metro Detroit area resident, Dr. Monson received his bachelor's degree in general studies at the University of Michigan “with distinction”. He then achieved his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed his internship and ophthalmology residency training through St. John Providence health system in 2014.
Dr. Monson specializes in cataract surgery, including refractive cataract surgery using Restor and Toric lenses, ORA, and femtosecond laser-assisted surgery.
He has special interests in eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation.
Being a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Monson also treats Diabetic Eye Disease, Glaucoma, Dry Eye Syndrome, and Ocular Surface Disease.
Born into a family of doctors, including his father, grandfather, and uncle, Dr. Monson understands that patient care and education is of utmost importance.
Dr. Monson will see patients at our Clinton Township and Romeo locations.
